LFKL GOVERNING BODIES

The School Board

CA.png

The School Board works closely with the academic management of the institution. It meets once a month and is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the institution. It is the employer of most of the LFKL staff.

Elected at a general meeting of parents, its mandate is for one year, renewable by third parties.

Thus, at least 5 elected parents and volunteers commit themselves to devote time to the service of the LFKL community.

Their fields of intervention are :

  • Financial management (defining the budget, decisions on expenditure and income)

  • Selection of the material means to be made available to the establishment

  • Relations with external service providers (invitations to tender, procedures, etc.)

  •  Human resources under local contract.

All actions are carried out in close collaboration with the management team.

Each year, an Annual General Meeting is held to present the accounts, inform and validate the decision-making choices for the year.

This meeting is important, it is the place and the time for any member of the LFKL (parents of the pupils who are enrolled and staff), therefore for every parent to get informed, ask questions and exchange .

Once a year, an extraordinary general meeting is also held during which new directors/managers are elected.

Any parent of a child enrolled at the LFKL may stand as a member of the Board of Directors.

To be elected to the Board of Directors is an opportunity to:

  • Become a major actor in the school life of your children;

  • Understand how the school works;

  • Actively participate in the management of the institution;

  • Have a direct impact on the future of the institution.
